UNMC Professors and MSPS Chapter Honored with Prestigious APS Awards at National Conference
Dr. Harold Schultz, a professor in the UNMC Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology, received the Extra Mile Award from the American Physiology Society (APS) for his exceptional dedication to the Midlands Society of Physiological Sciences (MSPS). A founding member of MSPS, Dr. Schultz has significantly contributed to advancing physiology-related research and education across Nebraska and South Dakota. His leadership has expanded MSPS membership and enhanced student engagement. At the same APS conference, Dr. So-Youn Kim accepted the Chapter of the Year award on behalf of MSPS, recognizing its excellence in promoting physiology research, education, and outreach, and its role in the Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences.
